Planning permission rules for outdoor bars
A pub operator has been 'flooded' with support on social media after being told to take down an outside bar by council officials. The Hare and Hounds in Bath, Somerset, built an outside bar after the first lockdown which proved to be a “lifeline” and added a decking area in the autumn. While the decking area was being constructed, Bath & North East Somerset Council contacted the pub to request it to submit a request for pre-planning advice.
