A Northampton County election commission solicitor on Monday said the county will count 380 undated mail-in ballots received in last Tuesday’s primary election unless told to do otherwise by state officials.

More than 1,200 provisional ballots used in three counties on Tuesday could wind up being major factors in two Lehigh Valley Senate primary races.
Acting Secretary of State Leigh Chapman wrote on Thursday to Lehigh County District Attorney James Martin, saying his warnings could be intimidating voters. Martin last week told voters they were being “placed on notice” about the law and that county detectives will be checking security video and monitoring drop boxes in person for the May 17 primary.
Three announced Pa. House and Senate candidates have been ruled off the May 17 primary election ballot in the Lehigh Valley region following challenges to nominating petitions they filed with the state.
