It’s important that the independence of Scotland works for everyone, not that it’s fast. It’s important that Scotland is at the heart of a stable and democratic Europe. That might even encourage the people of England to save themselves. Many people have reason to be impatient, especially those whose livelihood is bound to Europe. But we must get it right this time.
