Plans for $30m development next to Strand Hotel progress

Paperwork is progressing for the $30m residential and retail development near The Strand Hotel on the Yeppoon foreshore.
Mint Apartments was approved for development by Livingstone Shire Council in early 2020 for a seven storey, 45-unit complex.

The complex will include food and drink outlets, retail shops on the ground level, two levels of car parking, top-level penthouses a rooftop pool deck and a tennis court.
The existing foreshore buildings from the bottle shop to Queen Street, including the brick holiday unit building with Jet James Art Gallery on the ground floor and the Lure Living cafe, will be demolished as the development will be built on this site. ....

Yeppoon vets lodges plans again to expand clinic

A Yeppoon veterinary clinic has lodged plans to extend their clinic with more surgery and treatment rooms, animal wards and an imaging room.
Acacia Veterinary Clinic at 40 Normanby Street, Yeppoon, submitted the plans earlier in the month to Livingstone Shire Council.
The material change of use development permit was previously approved however the approval has since lapsed and a new application was required.

The proposed Pearl Wellness Resort and Spa has been touted for years as Central Queensland’s first five-star resort development.
Many locals will know it as the abandoned site on Haven Road, Tanby Point near Emu Park, where large Balinese-type hut style buildings were built many years ago and have been left derelict.
It was proposed the resort, which was first approved in 2011, would compromise of 201 units with 333 bedrooms, commercial space, 50-seat high-class restaurant, conference, lounge bar, indoor sports facility and health spa retreat.
The developers, Moondaze, bought the 3ha block of land for $5.96m in 2007 and lodged plans soon after. ....

Five new stages planned for Yeppoon residential estate


The developers of Tara Park Estate have lodged plans this month to Livingstone Shire Council for 23 news lots at their Taranganba subdivision.
The new stages, stage A (realignment), stage B, stage 10B1, stage 10B2 and stage 10C, are in Carbeen Drive, Banskia Place and Macranga Place.
The lots vary in size from 786m2 to 1122m2 and will be connected to town water and services.
Ross Creek runs along the western side of the subdivision in the neighbouring land.
The subdivision is mapped accordingly around the waterway and vegetation.
The new stages are connected to previous stages and provide for the full construction of Carbeen Drive linking to the residential subdivision to the south. ....
