With Kentucky facing one of the highest physician shortages in the U.S., the UK College of Medicine has focused on creating more capacity to teach physicians through growth here in Lexington and by launching regional campuses in Bowling Green and Northern Kentucky. This year, 190 medical students from all campus sites are set to graduate — a 42% increase since the year 2017.
This Saturday, members of the UK College of Medicine-Bowling Green Campus's inaugural class will celebrate the past four years of hard work as they officially graduate with their medical degrees and prepare to move on to the next phase of their lives: residency.
