What we know about Arizona wildfires: July showers help rain out Middle, Tonto Bear and Ocotillo fires

Dry thunderstorms moving across Arizona in the past month because of the monsoon added to the fires burning in the state.
As of July 15, there have been 1,222 fires that have burned 596,817 acres throughout Arizona, according to spokesperson Tiffany Davila for the Department of Forestry and Fire Management.
