WXPN polls listeners the best 2,020 songs of all time
As of Tuesday, the station has reached song 500 out of 2,020 - "Lovesong" by The Cure. WXPN is also using songs submitted to rank the Top Artists, Top Albums, Top Decades, Top Years, Longest Songs, and Shortest Songs. For example, the Beatles currently rank No. 1 in the artists category, with 38 songs by the British band submitted to the best artists category. In the other categories, "The Joshua Tree" by U2 is the No. 1 album, the 1970's are the No. 1 decade, and 1973 is the No. 1 year. WXPN is also ranking songs based on length, because they really get into their annual countdowns.
