Do you make a show of competing for those contests when you really are the only one left . I think oftentimes the answer to that depends on whether the candidate thinks that he or she has a chance at winning those states in the general election too, so even once the primary is settled if there are competitive states, swing states left on the primary cal, thats a great reason for them to get additional candidate visits, get additional political attention.
