The term Human Trafficking is one you might not think affects community members in Berkshire County, but the Berkshire District Attorney s Office staff knows otherwise. While most of us were getting ready to celebrate the long Memorial Day weekend, members of the District Attorney s office staff were assembling 50 Hope Bags for victims of human trafficking Staff filled backpacks with clothing, first aid kits, hygiene products, hand sanitizer, wipes, snacks, reusable water bottles, referrals for social services, and more. The bags will make their way to these victims via members of the Berkshire Domestic and Sexual Violence Task Force who will identify individuals and coordinate the distribution throughout Berkshire County as needed.
