yes it does. earlier you said about primary and secondary targets. the aircraft carries a transponder. every time the radar sweeps, it will highlight or flash the airplane on what its position is. if that transponder goes out and planes are equipped with two, that goes out, then they re looking for a skin paint of the actual physical aircraft. so one of the things when the airplane goes missing is you re looking for those targets. if the plane is in one piece when it attempts to do a ditching, there will be one target. if there s multiple targets that would point to an inflight breakup and that could support the theory of inflight breakup due to severe weather. thank you so much for your per perspective. thank you, laura. of course you can stay with ....

richard, let me ask you just to explain. you said that there s much better acars in this case as opposed to flight 370. what exactly do you mean by that? the aircraft advisory and reporting system. this is the computer. this is the way in which think of it as bluetooth. you know, the plane is constantly discoverable. the plane is constantly sending out information to the ground. and this aircraft remember, with mh-370 the acars were disabled, or switched off, or something happened to the acars that meant it no longer gave information. the transponder was switched off. it no longer gave information. the odds of this happening in this case are fantastical. it s just not likely. so when request what we are likely to have is depending on the position of flight, it was over a way-point at the time, we ....

Once the transponder was turned off the plane went dark and it was very difficult to track and a lot of it was superposition. in this case there s no indication so far that there was any issues such as those, so i think i think we ll be driven by the data. it will point us in a direction. but still, the ocean is awfully big. i ve searched for things there. it will take a little time. but i think we should have the data to narrow this search down and get some results within the next day or so. peter, we know the pilot actually asked to change course to travel due west and then throws increase the altitude because of the bad weather but there wasn t a distress signal from the plane. what does that tell you pilots are trained to navigate and to aviate. they want to avoid any kind of stress to their passengers. if they see bad weather in front ....
