Pa. Trooper Charged for Trying to Withdraw a Friend s Traffic Citation

Pennsylvania State Police said Thursday that a trooper is being charged for trying to withdraw a friend s traffic citation issued by another trooper.
Trooper Trask Alexander, 29, is being charged with crimes related to tampering of evidence and obstruction, state police said Thursday.
Trooper Alexander is accused of attempting to withdraw a traffic citation that had been issued by another trooper to an acquaintance of Alexander s in November 2020, said a statement by the state police.
Alexander is now facing charges of tampering with records or identification, tampering with public records or information, and Obstructing administration of law or other governmental function, police said. ....

We re learning more about the man who murdered a truck driver and shot another person at an Upper Macungie Township Wawa after shooting at a driver on Route 22 Wednesday morning. The Lehigh County DA s office says Za Uk Lian, of South Whitehall Township, legally purchased the gun used to carry out the crimes. DA Jim Martin says Lian bought the gun on January 30th and was approved for a concealed carry permit on March 22nd. Lian s only previous encounters with the law were three traffic citations in 2019 and a pair of tickets in Washington state, where he lived before moving here. Meanwhile, Martin says it doesn t appear Lian followed the woman he shot at on Route 22 to the Wawa, but rather coincidentally arrived there after her. ....

State trooper in Beaver tried to fix ticket for friends, police say

A Pennsylvania State Police trooper faces misdemeanor charges after he tried to make a traffic ticket disappear for friends, authorities said Thursday, according to charges filed by PSP internal affairs.
Trask Alexander, a trooper from Troop D in the Beaver County barracks, is charged with tampering with records, tampering with public records and obstruction of law.
According to the criminal complaint, the charges stem from a traffic citation issued by a different trooper in late November in Rochester Township. The woman, who was driving with her boyfriend, told the trooper who pulled them over they knew Alexander. According to the complaint, she sent a photo of the cruiser and citation to Alexander. ....
