The Western Pacific island of Guam was trending on Twitter after Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) referred to the U.S territory as a foreign land, like China and Russia, in a video.
The island was a major U.S. Naval and Air Force base during World War II, and the Guam Organic Act of 1950 made Guam an unincorporated territory of the United States, transferring jurisdiction from the U.S. Navy to the Department of the Interior (DOI).
Anyone born in Guam is automatically a U.S. citizen.

Sarawak focuses on wildlife sanctuaries

BANGKOK, 18 February 2021: Wildlife conservation is now a
top priority for the government of Sarawak that is home to 22 national parks,
four wildlife sanctuaries and five nature reserves.
The state’s parks cover 710,884 hectares offering refuge and
sanctuary for many endangered species endemic to Borneo, including the orangutan,
proboscis monkey, sun bear, brindled deer, dugong, Irrawaddy dolphin, sea
turtle, and many more.
Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late wildlife conservationist and television personality Steve Irwin, and the rest of the team at Australia Zoo continue to carry on the conservation work in Sarawak that was started by Irwin.
Bindi’s fascination with Sarawak began as a child listening

this week's book of the week is "the once and future liberal" which you heard about earlier. it's about the decline of american lib ra lichl. explains how they went from the successes to the fit falls of today's politics. it's an important book for anyone understanding how we got here. this week guam breathed a sigh of relief after kim jong-un said he would launch a little more the foolish and stupid conduct of the yankees before firing a missile. but there is another problem pestering the island. there are as many as 2 million brown tree snakes, for every one human there are 12 of this invasive species slithers through the trees.

and because tylenol is inexplicably deadly to brown tree snakes that have invaded guam, the u.s. government decided to feed the snakes lethal doses of tylenol by feeding them dead mice that had tylenol in them. oh, and they also tied little individual parachutes to each mouse body so that the dead mice would get hung up in the tree canopy because the snakes prefer to eat that way. that story can't be true, right? that's insane! it sounds completely made up. painkiller-loaded dead mice parachuting into guam to solve a snake problem to save the birds. sounds like mad libs news. insert noun here, right? it sounds like it cannot possibly be a real thing. but then, here is, in fact, a homemade paper parachute for a dead, tylenol-stuffed mouse, property of the united states department of agriculture. and here are the dead
