Deluge hits Carlingford after heavy rains

Residents in Carlingford were awoken in the early hours of Thursday morning to discover a torrent of water flowing down the mountain following heavy rains which flooded a number of homes and cars. The alarm was raised in Trinity Close around 4am and neighbours scrambled to stop the muddy water from entering their homes. A number of houses did experience flood damage.
