Band director Scott Hillock told 2 News Oklahoma bands from all different places, with all different skillsets apply for the parade. The selection of a high school band is a "huge honor" he said.
The bands selected are from all over the nation -- from Alabama to Wisconsin to Texas -- and all over the world -- including Costa Rica, Japan and Sweden -- (as well as some Jan. 1 stalwarts from around Southern California).
