Healthcare stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index decreasing 231.33 points or 0.98% at 23450.54 at 13:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Suven Life Sciences Ltd (down 6.98%), Morepen Laboratories Ltd (down 4.95%),Vimta Labs Ltd (down 3.37%),Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 3.27%),Healthcare Global Enterprises Ltd (down 3.09%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Gufic BioSciences Ltd (down 3.01%), Cipla Ltd (down 2.86%), Marksans Pharma Ltd (down 2.34%), Fortis Healthcare Ltd (down 2.28%), and Lincoln Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 2.18%).
On the other hand, Alembic Ltd (up 8.54%), Caplin Point Laboratories Ltd (up 3.17%), and Laurus Labs Ltd (up 2.67%) turned up.
At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 86.09 or 0.18% at 48632.43. ....

(ATR) One of the world’s leading brands comes to the aid of South African runner Caster Semenya. Lux, one of the brands of Unilever, launches a media campaign supporting Semenya’s battle with World Athletics to compete in the 800m event for women at the Tokyo Olympics.
World Athletics has ruled that Semenya must take medication to reduce her testosterone levels to compete. She is the 800m gold medalist from the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, titles she won prior to the 2018 edict from the athletics federation. Semenya refuses to take the medication.
Semenya is an intersex cisgender woman, assigned female at birth with XY chromosomes and naturally elevated testosterone levels. She has battled throughout her career in sport to compete as a woman. Her appeal against the World Athletics rules will be brought to the European Court of Human Rights. ....

James LeBrecht, co-director of Oscar nominated documentary, Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution wowed on the red carpet at this year s Academy Awards. Instead of wearing a usual black tux, he wore a custom-made navy-blue Gucci ensemble with a black and ivory flower print shift.
While it is expected for Oscar nominees to walk the red carpet in a custom suit, this is unique for LeBrecht. Not only was Crip Camp: A disability Revolution made on a small budget leaving little room for expensive red-carpet looks, but LeBrecht also has spina bifida and is reliant on a wheelchair to get around. ....

Comics review: Beatnik Buenos Aires honors Argentinean artists

The book opens with this introduction: “Back in the 1960s, there was another Buenos Aires. A nocturnal city that competed with its daytime counterpart. A city that sheltered, in its downtown streets and alleyways, an erratic community of artists.” Night is the main visual motif of the book. Even scenes set during the day evoke night. The low light and heavy shadows of most of its pages are a constant nocturnal reminder. The blurry art adds to this, as does the sketchiness and smudginess, as if the book were rendered with the remnant ash of the creative fire that animated the featured artists. Sharp contrasts imply the presence of neon lighting, as one might find on busy city streets, even when indoors. And sound effects are rendered viscerally, becoming piercing noises amplified by the void of night. ....
