THE areas of south Essex with the best take up of Covid-19 vaccines have been revealed. More than two in five people in Southend and Castle Point have received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while more than a third have in Basildon NHS data shows 59,791 people had received a vaccine jab in Southend by March 7 – equating to 41 per cent of those aged 16 and over, according to the latest population estimates from the Office for National Statistics.
