Bianca “Muffin” Bankz, 30, was fatally shot in her apartment in Atlanta January 17, but media reports of her death have come out in just the past few days. Police believe her killer was a man named Moses Allen, who then took his own life,
Their bodies were discovered by Bankz’s roommate, with whom she had often lived on the streets. Bankz had moved into the apartment just a few weeks before she died. ....

NY man accused of killing 3 elderly women in senior home
Police have arrested 66-year-old Kevin Gavin who they believe attacked the three women over financial disputes.

In New York City, police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for multiple different murders since 2015.
Kevin Gavin is the accused serial killer with three victims who resided in the Carter G. Woodson Houses between 2015 and 2021. The 66-year-old man allegedly attacked the elderly women with a financial motive. Gavin also lived in the building and reportedly has a criminal history including arrests on drug-related charges.
“Mr. Gavin was familiar with many of the residents in the building and ran errands for some of the elderly tenants who resided at that location,” said NYPD Chief of Detectives ....

Last year was the deadliest ever recorded for the transgender community in America, with at least 44 known trans people dying violently at the hands of another person. Sadly, 2021 is already off to a foreboding start as a transgender woman in Chicago and a transgender man in Puerto Rico were shot and killed in the past week. They are the first two known transgender people violently killed in 2021.

Chicago Sun-Times reported Tyianna “Davarea” Alexander, 28, a Black transgender woman, was shot in the head while walking with a friend in the city’s Gresham neighborhood early Wednesday morning. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her friend, 31-year-old Brandon Gowdy, was shot in the arm and was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Reports said the deadly shots came ....

A transgender woman in Chicago and a transgender man in Puerto Rico have been fatally shot in the past week, in the first reported violent deaths of trans Americans in 2021.
Tyianna “Davarea” Alexander, 28, was shot to death on a street in the Gresham neighborhood on Chicago’s south side about 5 a.m. Wednesday, the
Chicago Sun-Times reports. She was shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. A man accompanying her, Brandon Gowdy, 31, was hit in the arm and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The shots were fired from a vehicle.
