Ensign Savannah Turner of Gainesville, U.S. Coast Guard reservist and veteran, University of Florida Ph.D. student, and former UF IFAS Extension Agent, is the April 2021 Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Veteran of the Month. Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried made the announcement.  The Veteran of the Month program was established by Fried, shortly after taking office.
