Professor Rosemary Jagus recognized for efforts to increase diversity in marine sciences

University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science (UMCES) Professor Rosemary Jagus has been recognized for two decades of efforts to increase the diversity of researchers working in the marine sciences. UMCES President Peter Goodwin gave the annual President's Award for Excellence in Application of Science to her for inspiring and training young scientists from under-served communities to pursue careers in science through programs at the Institute of Marine and Environmental Technology in Baltimore.
