The Falkland Islands Government has agreed to dispose of the claim brought by Unity Marine Limited by mutual consent, and on 27 May 2024, the Chief Justice issued the Order as agreed by the parties. The decision of the Executive Council made on March 29, 2022, to not allow large-scale aquaculture in the Falkland Islands is to undergo a judicial review following a judgment by Chief Justice James Lewis after a preliminary hearing in the Supreme Court on July 28, with the judgment delivered on August 3.
