Reply A youth suicide prevention bill, which was championed by Sandy Hook Promise, reportedly is gaining support in the U.S. Senate. (Shutterstock) A U.S. House version of the bill was passed last fall but did not go any farther at that time. Referred to as STANDUP, or the Suicide Training and Awareness Nationally Delivered for Universal Prevention Act, it calls on states to expand suicide prevention education at the middle school level and up.
