Green River District reports 33 new COVID-19 cases (Source: WFIE) By 14 News Staff | May 14, 2021 at 11:07 AM CDT - Updated May 14 at 4:00 PM KENTUCKY (WFIE) - On Friday, the Green River District reported 33 new COVID-19 cases. Health officials say 12 of those newly reported cases were in Daviess County, 10 were in Henderson County, four were in both Union and Webster counties, and three new cases were in Ohio County. No new deaths were reported in the Green River District. Out of the 21,992 reported COVID-19 cases in the district, health officials say 19,690 people have recovered. The Muhlenberg County Health Department reported three new COVID-19 cases on Friday. ....

This comes after the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine was approved for Officials with the health department say they will be sending consent forms and information sheets out on Thursday and Friday. They ask you to send them back to school completed if you want the nurse to give your child the vaccine. ....

Health officials say 20 of those newly reported cases were from Daviess County, 14 were from Webster County, nine were from Henderson County, five were from Ohio County, three were from Union County, two were from Hancock County and one was out of McLean County. The COVID-19 related death was a resident of Henderson County. ....

Kentucky is reporting that 448,952 residents have tested positive since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. The positivity rate currently stands at 3.28% statewide. As of Sunday, 6,586 people have died across the commonwealth due to complications with COVID-19. The governor confirms 1,867,037 people have received at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in Kentucky. The Muhlenberg County Health Department reported two new COVID-19 cases on Sunday. ....
