Islamic Group, MURIC Supports Death Sentence Verdict For Kano Cleric Over Alleged Blasphemy

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has commended the Upper Sharia court in Kano for sentencing a cleric, Abduljabbar Nasiru-kabara to death for committing blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Nasiru-Kabara was charged with four counts bordering on blasphemy by the Kano State government. Delivering judgment on Thursday, Ibrahim Sarki Yola, the presiding kadi (judge) sentenced the cleric to death by hanging over blasphemous comments against Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
