NEW YORK (AP) — Anne Rice , the novelist whose lush, best-selling gothic tales, including “Interview With a Vampire,” reinvented the blood-drinking immortals as tragic antiheroes, has died.
Her first novel was the lush, bestselling gothic tale Interview with the Vampire, but Rice would go on to write more than 30 books and sell 150 million copies worldwide.
Her 1976 novel “Interview With the Vampire" was later adapted into the 1994 movie starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. See Boston.com.
