Turkey Week did not disappoint, with great food and family hugs, and we topped it off with a little bit of shopping. We also have more good news to share in this week's Bowie County Sheriff's Report, arrests were way down last week. The fourth week of November brought us 43 arrests made by Bowie County Deputies. Of those 43, Bowie County Deputies made 10, and the remaining 33 were made by other law enforcement agencies and subsequently handed them to Bowie County.
Congratulations Bowie County, you have outdone yourself during Mardi Gras week, although that's not necessarily a good thing. One would think that Fat Tuesday would have been the busiest night, but one would be wrong. Thursday was hopping this past week for some reason. Our Bowie County Sheriff's Deputies stayed busy all last week as they processed 81 arrests from around the County, 27 of those brought in by BCSO, while 54 were turned over by other area law enforcement agencies in Bowie County.
A heads-up Bowie County citizen realized before it was too late, thankfully, that someone was trying to scam her this week. Plus, all the usual crimes and investigations in your weekly report from the Bowie County Sheriff's Office prepared by Chief Deputy Robby McCarver.
