Vikram S Rocket: The Indian space sector today took a giant leap as ISRO successfully launched the country's first privately developed rocket -Vikram S rocket- by Skyroot Aerospace.
Vikram-S Launch LIVE: India is etching history with the launch of its first private-sector rocket Vikram-S, a suborbital vehicle developed by Skyroot Aerospace. The rocket will be launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota carrying three CubeSats at 11:30 am IST under the mission named 'Prarambh' (The beginning).
Following launch, the Vikram-S rocket reached a height of 89.5 kilometres and satisfies all requirements, according to Skyroot Aerospace, the rocket's developer.
The Vikram-S will be powered by the Kalam 80 propulsion system that will ignite the three-stage rocket to space.
