KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — One or more shooters opened fire on a child playing in the front yard of a Kansas home, killing him, authorities said.
A Kansas boy was shot dead in broad daylight while playing in a front yard -- and authorities are now searching for his killers. The young boy, whose name has not been released, was fatally struck at around 6 p.m. Wednesday in Kansas City, the Kansas City Police Department (KCKPD) said in a statement.
Officers found the wounded boy in the front yard. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
