Zappala on way to victory in bid for 7th term as Allegheny County DA
Longtime Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. led challenger Matt Dugan by more than 3 percentage points late Tuesday night in a battle for the county’s top law enforcement post. The GOP nominee Zappala had collected 51.5% of the roughly 365,000 votes counted as of about 11:20 p.m.
