Surfrider Foundation’s Blue Water Task Force program released its annual Maui water quality report for 2022.
The Surfrider Foundation’s Blue Water Task Force program had two important additions this year, including a new lab site at Pāʻia Youth and Cultural Center. In addition, Surfrider Maui partnered with community members from Hāna to collect water quality samples there for the first time. Topping the list, for the second year in a row, is Wailuku Stream with 27% of samples exceeding health standards in 2022.
