The Phelps County Bank has purchased the old Springfield Ward Downtown YMCA. So what are their plans for the 110 year-old facility?
At request of the Ozarks Regional YMCA, the bank has given permission to continue use of the pool this summer before renovations begin in the fall.
The more than $2 million purchase has not yet been finalized, which will likely take place in May.
In June 2022, the ORYMCA announced that the Ward Downtown YMCA was for sale due to declining membership and increasing maintenance costs.
