WARREN — A woman came home to find her home ransacked and the body of a homicide victim upstairs, according to police and Trumbull County 911 Center records. The 19-year-old woman called 911 at 11:30 a.m. from 243 Forest St. NW to report the body of the man and break-in. Police have not yet released the man’s identity or a cause of death. The woman who called 911 did not identify the person. Warren police Sgt. John Wilson said detectives are investigating the death as a homicide and that no one has been charged or taken into custody. Warren Safety Service Director Eddie Colbert said the murder appears to be the first homicide in the city this year. Last year, there were 16 murders in the city and the first was on New Year’s Day. That homicide remains unsolved.
