LAWRENCE TWP.  Clay's Park Resort is under new ownership. The family that has owned and operated the popular Northeast Ohio destination for the past 73 years has sold the 305-acre property to a Michigan company. Northgate Resorts in Grand Rapids bought the operation as part of a $23 million transaction. Stark County Auditor Alan Harold said the land, buildings and other real estate were valued at $13.17 million in the deal. The sale closed Nov. 4. The seller is listed as John O. Clay Explorations.
