Tri-County Independent WAYNE & PIKE - Charles A. Lindbergh, the famed aviator who was first to fly solo across the Atlantic in 1927, was descended from one of Wayne County, Pa.'s early non-native settlers, and visited here at least once to look up his roots, in later years.
