Carole LaMond Correspondent For 25 years, Max Hobart and Leslie Holmes have worked seamlessly together in their respective roles as music director/conductor and president of the Wellesley Symphony Orchestra, two consummate musicians so finely synchronized in running the venerated community orchestra that their passion for music infuses everything they do. Earlier this year Hobart announced he would retire at the end of the current season, and last month Holmes said she was stepping down as well.
