Wesley was diagnosed with cataracts three years ago and is still on a waiting list. it is steadily getting worse, it is an insidious thing, it has crept on, and i have had the surgery cancelled several times, and ijust don t know what is happening, which is quite frustrating. but at the same time as the backlog, the nhs is still running that race vaccine versus variant. we are six months in now, and the government has a new, speedier ambition. we hope to be able to protect with two doses all 1 9, allthe over50s before the 21st ofjune. we will, you know, make sure we vaccinate at scale. but, and here is the important thing, we will share the evidence with the country. during the 14 days when the government will tell us when the next stage of opening up will happen onjune the 21st. at that point, they want to meet four tests before going ahead. ....

DOVER, Del. (AP) Graduations are normally an occasion to celebrate, a time to recognize the years of hard work put in by students and to wish them luck in whatever is next. For the hundreds of new graduates, alumni, parents, officials and others present at Wesley College’s commencement last Saturday, it was an exciting and joyful day but also a bittersweet one.
Founded in 1873, Wesley has been an integral component of Dover’s fabric for generations, with proud degree-holding members of the Wolverine family helping shape the community. Graduates were indeed the center of attention Saturday, but in some ways, the commencement was like no other held by the school before. ....

When a name appears in the credits of a film as often as Mickey Reece’s does in his own, your first impulse as a writer is to call him a “one-man band.” But he’s not at least, not anymore. Before he was a self-taught filmmaker on the rise, this Oklahoma native was a touring musician, performing under the moniker El Paso Hot Button. Watching old YouTube clips of him playing a tambourine with one hand and his guitar with the other, left foot on a snare drum and right foot on the bass, it feels like a tidy visual metaphor for the life of a DIY artist.
