Written by Town of Westport
Important Information from the Westport Weston Health District (WWHD)
The COVID-19 vaccination clinic originally scheduled for yesterday, February 18, has been
rescheduled to Monday, February 22 due to yesterday’s inclement weather. Only the clinic date has changed. The appointment time and location for Monday’s clinic remain the same – Westport Senior Center (21 Imperial Ave, Westport, CT 06880). All those affected have been directly contacted by WWHD staff.
First Selectman Jim Marpe today issued the following update on the COVID Vaccine:
This week, Governor Ned Lamont announced that over 500,000 Connecticut residents received their first vaccination and over 240,000 have received the second vaccination for a total of 747,000 vaccinations.  Connecticut ranks third in the nation for vaccine administration.  Since Connecticut vaccinated its nursing homes, resident cases have decreased from a high of 483 in the first week of January to 30 this week, proving the effectiveness of the vaccine.

February 12, 2021, Westport, CT –RealArtRealArtists.com (aka RaRa) of Westport, CT, and founder Lisa Stretton are not allowing Covid-19 and an international pandemic to limit the opportunity for Fairfield County residents to experience and enjoy art as it should be: easily accessible and personal. During current times, it may be slightly more challenging to access – and enjoy Art -- but one local artist has turned this into an opportunity to bring Art to the people.
During the week of Valentine’s Day, The Residence at Westport, the town’s only senior living community where many local Westport natives and residents have chosen to live, many of them art lovers themselves, will be hosting the “Sharing The Love” art exhibit. The exhibit will be available for two weeks and highlights over 18 local artists and their works, with original pieces ranging from the talents of emerging to professional artists. All have Fairfield County roots. Over 20 works of art will be displayed and exhibited at the Residence at Westport, located at 1141 Post Road East in the heart of Westport.
