Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg launched Threads in a bid to exploit user dissatisfaction with Elon Musk\'s Twitter and quickly signed up 100 million users in its first week.
Threads, the new text-based social media app from Meta, gained 100 million users within its first five days. In Philly, SEPTA, Comcast, Wawa and the city's professional sports teams all quickly created accounts, as did many residents. Meta’s new Twitter rival, Threads, will not be launched in the EU “at this point,” according to regulators.
