Wicklow Sings, a community arts festival for choirs based in Greystones, returns for a sixth year on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in Temple Carrig School.

Amy Barrett is doubly fortunate. First, she was born with a gift, a natural ability to play and sing music. Second, she comes from Dunlavin. It sometimes seems as though everyone in the village has a tale to tell. And, though Amy may be a mere 22 years of age, she already has the opening instalment of her life story ready to relate, a narrative showing how it is possible to harness talent on two fronts. Not only is she possessed of a commanding yet sweet alto voice but she also has a degree in chemistry to be proud of and a growing career as an adviser to pharmaceutical and IT companies.
