North Philly's Beury Building, known for its 'Boner 4ever' graffiti, could get 8-story addition as planned Marriott hotel restoration continues

The historic Beury Building in North Philadelphia, affectionately called the "Boner 4ever"building after its prominent graffiti, is being redeveloped into a Marriott Hotel with restaurants and a rooftop bar. Developer Shift Capital has a proposed an eight-story addition to the structure at 3701 N. Broad St., allowing for more hotel rooms. Later phases of the project call for a neighboring residential building that will include affordable and market-rate housing.

'Boner 4ever' building: Work begins on Marriott Hotel at historic high-rise in North Philly

The restoration of the historic Beury Building in North Philadelphia, best-known as the "Boner 4Ever" building on North Broad Street, is now underway after delays to previous redevelopment plans. The 14-story high-rise, built in 1927, will be redone as a 138-room Marriott Hotel with new restaurants and a rooftop bar. A residential building is planned for a later stage and will include a mix of affordable and market rate projects to go with community spaces. The project is led by Shift Capital and the Wankawala Organization.
