Most of the school board candidates in Monroe County’s four districts will be moving on to the general election.

Nine candidates across three regions are running for five spots on the Pocono Mountain School District board of directors. Unlike Monroe County’s other three districts, Pocono Mountain elects board members by region rather than having voters in the entire district vote for at-large candidates. In Region 1, which includes Barrett, Paradise and Pocono townships, voters can vote for two candidates. Christina J.
