A shipyard worker set himself a mammoth running challenge in memory of a respected Barrow doctor. Mark Ensor ran four miles every four hours for 48 hours to raise funds for the North West Air Ambulance, completing his final run on Saturday. Mr Ensor took on the challenge in memory of rheumatoid specialist Dr William Smith Mitchell, who dedicated more than 30 years to Furness General Hospital before he died of pulmonary fibrosis.
