The microelectronics industry is booming in Arizona, with thousands of jobs that need to be filled. For those interested, ASU has created a one-stop shop for careers in microelectronics. The Microelectronics Workforce Development Hub lists more than 70 courses available to people across the life span — from high school students to those who would like retrain for a new career.

A $500,000 U.S. Department of Education grant, earmarked from Congressman and RIC alum James Langevin, will fund a new information technology certificate program designed for multilingual learners.  Scheduled to begin in 2023, the certificate program seeks to reach out to underserved, unemployed and underemployed adult students interested in cybersecurity, information technology support, data analytics and software development.
