Jan 1, 2021 John Ashby Carpenter, 63, of Shenandoah Junction, passed away peacefully at University Healthcare-WVU Medicine-East-Berkeley Medical Center Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020 with his family by his side. John died as a result of complications related to COVID-19. He was born March 12, 1957 in Martinsburg, to the late Ralph and Betty Carpenter. John was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, graduating from Jefferson High School in 1975. He also received an associate degree from Blue Ridge Community and Technical College in 2009.
