Passengers in Bengaluru are frustrated with the non-functional Passenger Information System (PIS) boards and crashing of the Namma BMTC app, which were introduced to provide real-time updates on bus services. Users have reported broken and torn boards at bus stops, while others have complained about the app crashing regularly. BMTC officials have cited reasons such as incomplete GPS mapping and lack of power supply connections for the non-functioning boards. No deadline has been set for resolving the issues.

Kumar said that a majority of the cast are newcomers, who have done a good job. “I did not organise a workshop to train the newcomers, but I am very happy with their acting skills,’’ he said.

“The bus is not available near the GPO exit but on the other side, near the Shivajinagar exit. There is no intimation regarding this within the metro station premises. If the buses were a different colour or had sign boards indicating the routes they ply, it would be much more convenient to use the service,” Kalpana C, a government employee who recently tried to pay a visit to a prominent college in Vasanthnagar shared her experience.
