A couple of months ago, stacey abrams came out on the show and said, you know, there are certain voter i.d. laws she supports and people, their heads elf exploded and said what, what. explain this to us so people can understand. what voter i.d. laws where is the line? this is a great question. i think folks get a little confused about it. my point to the senator was that all voter i.d. laws are not the same. texas has one of the most restrictive voter i.d. laws in the country and it harms communities of color. voter i.d. laws do not have to be that restrictive. texas seaccepts a limited numbe of i.d.s to vote. if you have federal i.d. or state i.d. or student i.d., you can t vote. and it is clearly targeted towards making it harder for the people more likely to have those i.d.s. the students of color and students more generally tend to skew toward the democratic ....
