The information was turned over to a tribal warden who interviewed the person and enforcement action was taken. Wardens Matthew Koshollek, of Drummond, and Phil Brown, of Iron River, took enforcement action against a crossbow hunter after he admitted to shooting a large 11-point buck in September 2020 and then tagging the deer with the license of a relative. Outdoornews April 1, 2021 Peshtigo Team / January Wardens Paul Hartrick, of Oconto Falls, and Gaven Brault, of Green Bay, responded to a complaint of two bucks locked at the horns. The wardens arrived and observed a large buck dragging a dead buck through the woods. Hartrick placed a catch pole on the buck’s antlers and pulled him to the ground. Brault then held the live buck down and Hartrick handed the catch pole to the reporting party to hang on to. Hartrick then used a saw to cut the dead buck’s antlers out of the entanglement. Outdoornews January 7, 2021 Waukesha-Walworth Team / October Warden Marcus Medina responded to snagging complaints regarding the salmon run while on patrol. He found two men snagging salmon using spoons and plain treble hooks. The two violators had also been found guilty of similar activities in the same year. Warden Medina contacted an archery hunter found hunting over illegal bait and on county land that is closed to hunting. Warden Medina took enforcement action against an individual who was found shining deer while in possession of a .380 Ruger handgun, a shotgun and archery equipment.  ...
