understand this financial crisis was the worst since the great depression, but ultimately they say, look, he s the president. we think he has good intentions, but we re impatient and we want to see things move faster. i understand that. i m sympathetic to it. we ll keep on putting forward ideas that will be good for the country. we re going to need a partner from congress. on the other side of the political spectrum, listen to what governor rick perry said in iowa and he s not backing off. you might hear him catch more heat for it today. politicians from president obama to rick santorum thought perry went overboard when he talked about the federal reserve and its chairman ben bernanke. listen. if this guy prints more money between now and the election, i don t know what you all would do to him in iowa, but we would treat him pretty ugly down in texas. i mean printing more money to play politics at this particular time in american history is almost treasonness in my ....

[ applause ] the problem is, is that we ve got the kind of partisan brinkmanship that is willing to put party ahead of country. that s more interested in seeing their political opponents lose than seeing the country win. well, the president was glad handing after a town hall meeting in iowa, he ....

in american history is almost treason in my opinion. because he never served. perry told a military gathering, quote, i want to make sure that every young man and woman who puts on the uniform of the united states respects highly the president of the united states. in fact, perry even seems to question obama s patriotism. listen to this. you need to ask him. [ inaudible question ] i m saying a good reporter. go ask hm. cnn s shannon travis is in iowa. governor perry had a gem for you, i understand, in your cameras? that s right. reporter: he did have a gem for me. it s important to question whether the newly republican presidential candidate if this is his texas swaggering bravado. he is just getting into this race and has more established contenders who have been in the race longer. as you yu just mentioned he did say a little bit of things and say he sealed it with a kiss. romney took a swipe at you today saying he has private sector experience and that ma ....
