SAN DIEGO 
A 33-year-old skateboarder suffered life-threatening injuries when he was hit by a car Sunday night, authorities said.
The crash was reported just after 8:15 p.m. on Hotel Circle North near Fashion Valley Road in Mission Valley, San Diego police said.
A 19-year-old man driving west on Hotel Circle in a 2015 Dodge Dart apparently did not see the skateboarder who was in the same westbound lane and struck him, police said.
The victim suffered a fracture to the right leg and major trauma that was considered life-threatening, police said.
