Skateboarder Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries After Being Hit by Car

A skateboarder was seriously injured Sunday night when he was hit by a car in Mission Valley.
San Diego police said the incident happened sometime around 8:15 p.m. in the 1900 block of Hotel Circle North. A 19-year-old driver traveling westbound on Hotel Circle North in a 2015 Dodge Dart struck a 33-year-old skateboarder.

The driver told San Diego police that he did not see the skater, who suffered major injuries and an open fracture to his right leg, according to authorities. His injuries are considered life-threatening, SDPD said. ....

Skateboarder seriously injured when he's hit by car in Mission Valley

SAN DIEGO
A 33-year-old skateboarder suffered life-threatening injuries when he was hit by a car Sunday night, authorities said.
The crash was reported just after 8:15 p.m. on Hotel Circle North near Fashion Valley Road in Mission Valley, San Diego police said.
A 19-year-old man driving west on Hotel Circle in a 2015 Dodge Dart apparently did not see the skateboarder who was in the same westbound lane and struck him, police said.
The victim suffered a fracture to the right leg and major trauma that was considered life-threatening, police said.
