The IOC Session today praised the achievements of Olympic Agenda 2020, the strategic roadmap for the IOC and the Olympic Movement. Following the review of the Closing Report on Olympic Agenda 2020, the IOC Members approved it unanimously.
Adopted by the IOC at its 127th Session in Monaco in December 2014, Olympic Agenda 2020 is a set of 40 detailed recommendations whose overarching goal was to safeguard the Olympic values and strengthen the role of sport in society. Identified and collated through a collaborative and consultative process involving Olympic Movement stakeholders and outside experts, they were driven by an understanding that the world was evolving rapidly and that the Olympic Movement had the opportunity to be an agent of change. IOC to name Refugee Olympic Team for Tokyo 2020 in June

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) plans to announce the Refugee Olympic Team for Tokyo 2020 in June, with 55 athletes seeking to compete at the Games.
The Refugee Olympic Team debuted at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, where 10 athletes were selected to compete across athletics, judo and swimming events.
A total of 37 refugee athlete scholarship holders were confirmed to be in contention for Tokyo 2020 back in 2019.
The IOC has said
 Olympic Solidarity is currently supporting 55 scholarship holders, who are training in the hope of competing at the rescheduled Games in the Japanese capital. ....

Eighty-five per cent of the recommendations of Olympic Agenda 2020, the reform programme of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), have been achieved. This was the conclusion reached in the consultative meeting of the IOC Executive Board (EB) this week. Olympic Agenda 2020 has resulted in profound change and progress across the entire Olympic Movement, and has laid solid foundations for the future.
